Sha wham wham

Cheering about Alice Munro's Booker Prize all the way in Guatemala.

PS-Is this blog becoming obsolete? I feel like I'm hanging on to the golden years of grad school just by posting.

My internet energy has been abducted by evil, evil Facebook, but I still check in for the headlines...

Yay for Alice. She's so beautiful and elegant looking. I second Rebecca. I've been meaning to ask you all if they (bobcats) ever hired a fiction writer? I'm just curious.

Hired a fiction writer?

Like, for washing windows?

There was a search happening last year, I think, for a full-time fiction position (not sure about window-washing requirement, although Jack would have snatched that up).

Oh, I see what you mean! Katya told me recently that they (bobcats) finally went ahead and hired Nelly Rosario...

That's terrific! Thanks!

Yeah, I put my CV in for the Window Cleaning position (we call it window cleaning), and they gave it to the former editor of the Beastypants Journal. She's got a collection of shorts out, and is working on her first novel.

No, I don't want the blog to become obsolete. So keep checking in everyone, and I'll try to post interesting things every once in a while, too. I think I would feel terribly out of touch if we didn't have this. Fc2 authors are my big time-suck. I have to stay so wrapped up in their pubs., awards, etc. I'd much rather hear about all of ours.

This blog is on my RSS feed, so I'm always reading. I've got a real case of the mush-brains this week.
