podcasts

Do any of you listen to author interview/craft podcasts? Are there any free ones you'd recommend?

I'm on board with Booklust and Writer's Block, but I'm having trouble sifting through the mass market genre-related tips to find the good stuff.

NPR Books updates every Sunday, and it always gives me new book suggestions.

KCRW's Bookworm (Michael Silverblatt) is always excellent for author interviews, and I used a few of Deborah Treisman's "New Yorker: Fiction" readings/conversations so I didn't have to lecture on craft for particular stories.

Fc2's blog has occasional podcasts. The one with Brian Evenson was good though the focus was less on craft, more on the glory of the small press and experimental fiction. The most recent podcast is with Kate Bernheimer, one of our more widely-read authors, an author you would love.

Good all.

Thanks. I've also listened to a couple of litopia podcasts, and just found lannan, as well.

litopia and lannon= I didn't know about these, glad you mentioned, J.

New Yorker is starting to have a new one where, weekly, someone discusses the fiction in the newest NYorker.

lannan apparently doesn't actually exist anymore, even though it claims to on the website. maybe it's fallen on rough times.
