Wish I was in Texas for Robert Stone's visit to TSU. Anyone going?
I paid something like 15 bucks back in the fall to hear Stone interview Ken Burns for The War doc. It was O.K. At least in was in a nice space-- the NYPL--and there was free wine. I wish I could hear him talk only about books.

I will try to go. His craft talk is on "A Good
Man is Hard to Find" and "Araby." That sounds really neat. Is he related to tg02? They look a lot alike, no?

I'm jealous.
Found out last week that a guy I work with had Stone for a prof in an undergrad writing class at Yale.
My admiration for him boils down to this: every book feels huge and ambitious, like he tries to knock it out of the park every time.
