I am fine. There is a heat wave across the state, so we're hanging out in our shorts. There are fires four and six hours south of me. My mom in San Diego is OK; the nearest fire to her is 2 hours north. I agree, though, fires are scary. We live in a heavily wooded area, too. Fire insurance is our friend.

I'm glad to hear from you too. The news here keeps talking about walls of fire and such. It is impossible to imagine.
