AM/PM in Take the Handle

Check out an excerpt from AM/PM in the Winter '09 Take the Handle. I'm enjoying listening to the issue's mixtape (in the lower right) as I page through the issue.

Seeing more and more of these ebook-style journals lately. Katya's got a great story in the latest issue of 34th Parallel.

It looks tres chic. I'm pre-ordering after my next paycheck.

I went to a writing group yesterday and talked about our graduating class a little too much how we continue to inspire each other and applaud each other.

Also I found a cat yesterday on my porch and I think I'm keeping it. So maybe it was a combination of being sad about finding a hungry cat and missing you guys, but I got a little teary when I talked about my previous experiences in a writing group.

I think people think I'm weird.

congratulations, amelia!

the mixtape is pretty great. at the school where I work, we don't have bells, per se. people bring their music and it plays for three minutes between each period, instead.

the thing is, the music has to be on a tape - so a couple of weeks ago i sat down and had the pleasure of hitting play and record at the same time.

Very cool, Amelia. Can't wait to see you signing books at AWP!
Oh, Abby, you are weird, and I love you! (that clever use of "and" instead of "but" is all Debra Monroe.) Please join our club of weird cat owners.
